Lesley, would you consider making a calendar that hangs? One that is big enough to make notes in the days? Though the day books are lovely, I know I would not use one… partly because paper piles are one of my challenges, and I’d likely never find it! I totally understand if that doesn’t interest you, but thought I’d ask.
When I looked in the places I suspected I might find a chrysalis, all I found were mud dauber nests! The one spot I saw one several years ago has since been dismantled. I do have butterfly friendly plants, milkweed, etc., so I’ll keep looking.

Such a calendar is on my list of papery things to make for Jan-Dec, Laurie! I used to use The Calendar of Ones Own for that, in our kitchen, hung with some clips, but as the Daybook brought sales of that calendar down to almost nothing last year, a wall calendar is now a need.
I will play with some sizes, but generous squares will be a must. A standard size I can get paper in is 13″ x 19″ (and print) and that may be a good size. Let me know what you think….

A 13″ x 19″ calendar sounds perfect!
