Feeling quite astonished by the thoughts this quote is bringing up…in myself, in the new discussion blossoming at Wisteria & Sunshine. If I am honest, it sometimes feels that I have only enough in my pitcher to water, regularly, a small pot of ivy on the windowsill…tho’ more is always found, when it is needed.
The idea, I think, is to keep finding more pitchers that suit and keep them as full as you are able, ready for the windowsill pot…or garden…or field that comes your way.
What do you think?

Oh that’s a good one! Yes, I take it as meaning spreading ourselves too thin. When I was younger I thrived on not enough in my pitcher. Now I find I have to plan my time, or I get all stressed out.

That’s what I love about quotes …some make you think, others you “get” right away.
No wonder we often go about feeling the well is dry when often it is because we placed too much water in one spot ♥

That is a wise quote. It seems so easy to overextend, and do and do, and not replenish oneself. Something to ponder, why that is so.
