I wish I knew how long I have had these pages
torn from an old Victoria magazine…long enough
for the pages to have yellowed. But I found them
amongst my piles of precious clippings, did a bit
of research online, and a pleasure trip was born.
Tomorrow morning ( I hope after the annual gift of
daffodils from my dear ones and a simple birthday breakfast),
I am leaving my mom in the care of my brother and my son,
and my deario and I are heading north to Fredericksburg.
We will explore the charming town tomorrow, stay at a
cosy b&b in the evening, and spend the next day at
beautiful Belmont.
I am so excited to be going to this place that is
rich in the beauty and creation of a couple who
expressed their love through art and
domesticity.

Lesley – I hope you have a wonderful birthday and a wonderful trip to Fredericksburg and Belmont!
I see that is one of the places listed with the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

My sister-in-law works with them and got me tuned to checking out their website when I am planning trips.
Talk soon,
Julie

Oh Lesley, have a wonderful birthday get-away. I had not heard of Melcher, but it looks like lovely work. Enjoy your time with your sweetie, relaxing & celebrating.

Hopefully, you will not meet up with any snow this time. It sounds wonderful.
Happy Birthday
