Those sweet little guys like to dart in, don’t they? If I have any type of thick/bushy arrangement/wreath on my front door, they will dart in. We open up all the doors and either shoo, or throw a towel over the little guy and gently pick him up in the towel and release him. I had one in the garage one winter and I always had to get up early because I knew my little wren was ready to go outside. They’re looking for a warm spot too!
I, too, recently had a little wren visitor in my library. The open front doors lead into an atrium where there are lots of windows. We had a little conversation before he finally found his way out – after bumping his poor little noggin a couple of times.
My name is Lesley and I love to create beauty and peace...in my home, online rooms and the pages I design for my shop. I live in the countryside of Virginia with my husband, one white dog and all of the wild things in field and forest and sky.

What kind of birds are on the first photo? ! Does one have a red belly?
Beautiful photos of our feathered friends.

How did you get the wren out of your house? I had one fly in my car a few months ago. You can see pictures here: http://servinghimathome.blogspot.com/2010/10/visitor-in-my-van-today.html
I enjoy reading your blog very much!

An array of feathered beauty is a delight. They surprise us often showing up unexpectedly.
Wonderful photos, the top is my favorite.
Thank you.
