…a dreamy end-of-summer post…
…with thoughts on the first yellow leaves drifting down from the trees…
…and the students returning to college, first with their parents by their sides, then in their happy independence…
…but hurricanes and headaches mean this will be a hasty post…
…to show you my end-of-summer so far…
…to recommend this rather lovely movie for a matinee on a late-summer afternoon in town…
…and if you need just a little bit more summer and sea before you feel ready to let it go…
… this might be just the thing for you, as it was for me…
…tho’ I fully intend to be back at the riverside just as soon as possible to soak in the all of the finally-more-gentle warmth and the sparkling water and the sand and stones and every good thing…

Dear Lesley, My entire family and I kept watch as Irene moved up the coast, hoping you, your family and home were staying safe and secure.
Wishing you many warm and gentle late summer days, and time to take more lovely photos!

I hope the storm did not affect you, Lesley. I have added the movies to my watch list. I did see The King’s Speech this summer, and enjoyed it. I believe I read of that here? Wishing you many enjoyable days at the riverside!

A poignant grouping of photos that expresses the mixed emotions of the seasons turning and the whims of nature…nice, Lesley, and thank you.
